Managing User Roles in Better MLO
This section provides a comprehensive guide on managing user roles within Better MLO. User roles define the level of access and responsibilities each user has within the system. To access and configure roles, follow these steps:
Accessing User Roles:
• Navigate to the "Settings" tab located at the right of the Better MLO system.

• Then click on "Roles" under “Settings”.

Managing Roles:
As an Owner or Company Admin, you have the authority to configure user roles. Here's how you can manage them:
Adding or Removing Roles Directly:
On the "Roles" page, you'll find a list of existing roles. To add or remove users from a role, simply follow these steps:

For instance, let's consider the "Owner" role.
Click on "Owner" to view the users currently assigned to this role.

Adding Users:
To add users to this role, click the "Add/Remove User(s)" button. A list of available users will appear.

Check the boxes next to the users you want to add to the role.

Click "Update" to save your changes.

Now, the selected users are Owners.

Removing Users:
To remove users from the role, follow a similar process as adding user to a role.
Click on "Owner" to see the list of users in that role.

To remove users from this role, click the "Add/Remove User(s)" button
Uncheck the boxes next to the users you want to remove.

Click "Update" to confirm the changes.

The selected users are no longer in the Owner role.

Alternative Method: Assigning Roles to Users:
Another way to manage roles is by assigning them to individual users. Here's how you can do that:
Navigate to "Settings" and then "Users."

In the "Users" section, you'll find a list of all users. Select the user for whom you want to assign or remove roles. For example, let's choose "Janice".

On Janice's user profile page, you will find the "Assigned Roles" section.

Assigning Roles:
To assign roles to Janice, check the boxes next to the roles you want her to have. In this case, we'll select the "Processor" and “Loan Officer Assistant” role.

Click "Update User" to confirm. Janice is now the "Processor" and “Loan Officer Assistant”.

Removing Roles:
To remove roles from Janice, go to her user profile and uncheck the roles you want to remove.

Click "Update User" to save the changes. Janice no longer holds the role you removed.

By following these steps, you can efficiently manage user roles within Better MLO. Whether you choose to configure roles directly or assign them to individual users, this functionality enables you to tailor access and responsibilities to suit your organization's needs.
