Contact Stage

Contact Stage

In this guide, we will walk you through the Contact Stage Settings within the Better MLO system. These settings allow you to manage and customize contact stage names to suit your needs. The contact's stage is a way to categorize and track their progress, helping your organization better understand and manage interactions with them.

Navigation to Contact Stage Settings

• Click Settings > Contact Stage.

Note: Your role must be Owner or Company Administrator to see Contact Stage Settings.

Navigating the Contact Stage List

Search and Filter:

At the top of the Contact Stage Settings page, you'll find a search bar. You can use this search bar to filter the list of contact stages based on specific keywords. For example, entering "lead" will filter the list to show all contact stages names containing the word "lead".

Adding a New Contact Stage

To add a new contact stage, follow these steps:

• Click the "Add New" button.

• Give your new contact stage a name. This name will help you categorize and identify your contacts effectively.

• Choose the file for your contact stage icon. We recommend using SVG files for better compatibility.

• Once you've selected the file, click "Save" to add the new contact stage.

Note: When you save a new contact stage, it will be added to the end of the list. If you can't find it on the current page, navigate to the next page to locate it.

Editing a Contact Stage

To edit an existing contact stage, follow these steps:

• Find the contact stage you want to edit in the list.

• Click the "Edit" button next to the contact stage name.

• Modify the contact stage's name as needed.

• Click "Save" to save your changes.

Note: Like adding a new contact stage, editing a contact stage will also move it to the end of the list. Navigate to the next page if necessary to find the edited contact stage.

Soft Deletion and Restoration

When you delete a contact stage, it's considered a soft delete. This means that the contact stage is not permanently removed but rather hidden. Soft deletion is done to maintain data integrity.

Here's how it works:

• Click the "Delete" button next to the contact stage name.

• Confirm the deletion.

• The deleted contact stage will no longer appear in your list of contact stages.

• However, it will still be present in your contact stage settings list. Also, you would have the ability to restore, and it was done for data integrity.

To restore a deleted contact stage in the future:

• Locate the deleted contact stage in your contact stage settings list.

• Click the "Restore" icon.

• The contact stage will be reinstated and listed in your contact stages.
